Health Sec. Ona visits Tagum for Blessing and Groundbreaking

Tagum City - A traditional Pilipino ceremony took place last August 12, 2010 in Barangay Apokon, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, Mindanao, Philippines. It was the Cutting of Ribbon and Blessing of the Neurosurgery and OB-Gyne Building located at Davao Regional Hospital (DRH) and Groundbreaking of Cancer Center in Mindanao (a two hectares land donated by the City Government of Tagum) located also in the same area.

In the picture (above left) Secretary, Department of Health Hon. Enrique T. Ona and Compostela Valley Province Governor Hon Arthur T. Uy with (in the right side) City of Tagum Mayor Rey T. Uy holding together a shovel as the sign of the groundbreaking for the two hectares land donated by the City Government of Tagum of which the Cancer Center building to be built. Below left side are some of the guests during the occasion ( from right to left) Regional Director, CHD XI Dir. Teogenes F. Baluma; ComVal Gov. Arthur T. Uy; Chief of Hospital III Davao Regional Hospital Dr. Romulo A. Busuego (back of Arthur Uy); Department of Health Secretary Hon. Enrique T. Ona and City of Tagum Mayor Rey T. Uy.
