Enumerate and describe briefly ordinances and resolutions related to literacy and continuing education passed and implemented by the municipality/city and/or school board over the past three years.

      To date, there are two (2) City Ordinances and ten (10) Resolutions enacted that provide from the legal basis for the continuing and sustainable implementation of the literacy related plans and programs. City Ordinance No. 38,s-2002 “ An Ordinance Institutionalizing the Literacy Program of the City of Tagum, Providing its Policy, Guidelines and Funds Thereof”. This ordinance was amended in 2008 thru City Ordinance No. 282,s-2008, “ An Ordinance Amending Sections 4,5 and 6 of City Ordinance No. 38, s-2002. This amendment was made as the local government unit enhanced its planned services to the constituents. Another Ordinance was passed, City Ordinance No. 246, s-2007, “An Ordinance Establishing the City Vocational/Technical Educational Scholarship Program (CIVOTESPRO) of Tagum City and Providing Guidelines for the Imp-implementation Thereof”. This was passed to cater the demand for technical and vocational skilled graduates both in the local and foreign market. Another monumental legislation of the council is Res. No. 130,s-2006, “A Resolution authorizing the City Mayor, Hon. Rey T. Uy, to enter into and sign for an in behalf of the City Government of Tagum a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Sagop Palad Foundation, represented by FR. Eligio Bianchi for the Implementation of the Children’s Welfare Program”.
      In addition, two (2) Executive Orders were also issued to wit: EO No.11,s-2008: Reconstituting the City Literacy Coordinating Council and EO No.09,s-2008 : : An Order Reconstituting The Tagum City Project Reading Empowers Youth Committee, Its Composition and Functions”. This particular order re-enforced and supports the need of the Dep-ed program known as “Every Child a Reader Program”.
