The months of February, March and April are the period when pupils
and students always look forward to the end of every school year.
A whole year of learning, perseverance, and nightly candle burning
to comply all the requirements asked by the school will again
be rewarded during the Recognition Day and Graduation Day.
Vice Mayor Rellon recognizes the effort taken, leadership manifested
as driven by will for more knowledge and advancement illustrated
by pupils and students has once again been identified to prove
themselves worthy of recognition and emulation.
The children in our Day Care Centers and Preschools in Tagum City
are on their prime formative years. The lessons taught by the
teachers are crucial in the children's values formation and learning
advancement. Any development observed in the children is a collective
effort of the teacher, parents and the children themselves. But
with the continued and endless support extended by the Local Government
Unit, any activities and programs initiated aimed for the fast
and undeterred development of the children becomes attainable
and easily realized.
Last March and April, the Office of the City Vice Mayor took part
in the recognition day with an enthusiastic effort and interest
by sponsoring medals to all Day Care Centers and some Preschools.
Also, now on its second year, the Office of Vice Governor Antonio
Rafael del Rosario and Vice Mayors League of the Philippines-Davao
del Norte Chapter have once again made a collective undertaking
by giving a Plaque of Leadership Excellence to the presidents
of Student Body Organization/Student Government Organization of
public and private tertiary and secondary schools in the Province
of Davao del Norte.
City Vice Mayor Allan Rellon, being the Provincial Vice President
of VMLP and the Program Director of this endeavor, made sure that
121 student leaders were duly conferred with this award in recognition
of their meritorious leadership role and responsibility being
elected as president at young school age, thus, experienced the
Art of Presiding.
