The Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety on the other hand concerns all matters pertaining to the following: a. Police matters; b. Maintenance of peace and order and protective services; c. Traffic rules and regulations; d. Fire prevention and control measures; e. Public morals; f. All matters related to peace and order and public safety.

There were also Executive Orders issued through which Councilor So also holds a significant rank being the Action Officer on the following: City Disaster Coordinating Council (CDCC), Tagum City Anti Drug Abuse Task Force (TCADATF), and the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC). By way of these committees, councils, and task force, he is able to access and reach the barangay constituents, especially the youth through the different programs and activities.

In the hope of an improved and much better public service, the Councilman expects nothing more than the support of the Tagumeños as he is about to start his term prolifically and hope to end it in the same manner.

Upon the maiden Regular Session of the 4th City Council last July 2, 2007, the 2nd ranker Kagawad, Hon. Robert "Tete" So opted to choose the Chairmanship on both the Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety.

Based on the approved Resolution No.2, series of 2007, the Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriation concerns are those pertaining to or connected with the following: a. Local taxes, fees and charges; b. Loans and other sources of local revenues; c. Annual budget of the City and Barangay; d. Appropriation ordinance; and e.
