Significant Jump Start for the 4th City Council

Before the 4th City Council convened for the first regular session on the 2nd of July, a Legislative Review and Planning was conducted at the Royal Mandaya Hotel, Davao City last June 29-30, 2007. Outgoing & incoming officials and staff gracefully attended to take an active part in this foremost event commencing the term of the 4th Council.
Members of the legislative department welcomed the new members when each personnel were introduced to the group. Review of SP Legislative Processes and Review & Action Planning on Office Operations and Policies were made for the benefit of the new staff and personnel. An open forum was held in order to give light to various queries and resolutions in order to improve the office transactions within the department.
A fellowship night ensued in the evening allowing the members of the City Council and Legislative Staff to get more acquainted with one another. A testimonial ceremony for the Outgoing officials was the highlight of the evening's affair. Outgoing officials who were able to come, City Councilor Rogelio E. Israel, MPA, now an elected Board Member of 1st District of Davao del Norte, and City Councilor Lani B. Maug, graced the affair and received a plaque of recognition for their invaluable time, service and effort rendered as Sanggunian Panlungsod Member of Tagum City, which has significantly contributed to the advancement and general welfare of the entire city.
Some of the personnel were even teary eyed when both City Councilors gave their respective messages…thanking everybody for the cordial company and for all the support given to when they served the City.
