2. Venue of the Competition - Tagum Trade & Cultural Center Pavilion
3. Categories - There are three (3) categories:
3.1 Children’s Choir
3.2 Youth Choir
3.3 Adult Choir
4. Requirements of the Participation
4.1 maximum of 25 singers
4.2 one (1) conductor and one (1) accompanist
4.3 group shall render 2 choral pieces (1 side piece & 1 contest piece)
4.4 the side piece shall either be in English, Filipino or local language which will either be pop, folk or religious songs.
4.5 2006, 2007, 2008 participants are not allowed to use the same side pieces.
4.6 accompanists & conductors/tress are allowed only to play at most 3 groups of different categories, otherwise the accompanist shall be denied to participate in the choral competition.
4.7 all groups are required to submit their entry form with the name of the official accompanist and a copy of the notated side piece.
4.8 conductors/tress shall be required to wear a formal attire.
5. Time Limit of Presentation
5.1 maximum performance time – 12 minutes including entrance and exit
5.2 a deduction of 2 points in excess of every minute or fraction of a minute.
6. Criteria for Judging
6.1 tonal quality (flexibility of voice, intonation & range) 40%
6.2 harmony (blending & balance, phrasing) 30%
6.3 Mastery (dynamics, technique, interpretation) 20%
6.4 deportment (general appearance, discipline & uniform) 10%
6.5 Total 100%
7. Allocated Points Contest Prize - 70%

9. Rehearsals All groups are allowed to hold blocking rehearsals at the venue only in the morning of the competition date. However, prior approval shall be south from the Chairperson to avoid conflict of time schedules. There are designated holding areas for all the participating groups which will be announced during their blocking rehearsals.
10. Official Piano The Organizer shall provide the official piano for the participating groups.
