LGU Tagum is now a Chartered Member of BSP

Last May 19-21, 2009 at Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City, Tagum City Associate Council participated the 53rd Annual National Council Meeting (ANCM) of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP). During the occasion, the National Office headed by the BSP National President Jejomar Binay and BSP Secretary General Jose Rizal Pangilinan awarded the City of Tagum its CHARTER and is authorized to operate as Associate Council of the BSP of the Philippines known as “Tagum City Associate Council (TCAC).”

This award is in accordance with the provision of Commonwealth Act No. 111 as amended by Republic Act No. 7278 and policies, organizations and rules as set forth in the Bylaws of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, a group of responsibility and properly capable persons after having consented to accept the responsibility for leadership, supervision, cooperation and the extension of the Boy Scout Movement in the City of Tagum.

 

In the re-enactment of the award done during the City of Tagum Employees Monday Convocation last May 25, 2009, City Mayor Rey T. Uy, Tagum DepEd Division School Superintendent Nenita E. Lumaad, and BSP National Vice President for Minadanao Councilor Alan Zulueta have formally received the Charter as 111th Local Council of the BSP.
