Barangay San Miguel was created into a barangays through a Municipal Resolution approved in 1947. Its name was formerly known as Campo Kwatro (Camp 4) during the Japanese regime and/ or during the Second World War II. During that time, most of the residents were farmers who are very much devoted to their patron saint who is San Miguel. And so they decided to name it also as San Miguel and now Barangay San Miguel.
