MISSION:

Historical Background:
History shows that the ancestors live in the area along the riverbank. Their main transportation was the “gakit or bangka” in transporting their agricultural product. During that time, a person name “Kuambo” mentioned that this is place be called “Cuambogan” as he is residing along the riverbank and at same time located in the remote area.

By the year 1920, the place started to increase in population as more migrant coming from Visayas and other place wanted to live the place as they see it is still huge and low flat terrain suitable for rice production.

Early settlers in barangay Cuambogan chose a leader in their barangay. They were Datu Limbasan, Bagani, and Baytiman Mansaka under the jurisdiction or council of Datu Gangsa that is came from Cambanogoy which is now called the Municipality of Asuncion. In the year 1935 most of the native appointed a leader in the name of Cornelio Catalan as a chieftain in Cuambogan

After the Second World War Cuambogan Elementary Schools was constructed and in the year 1963 Mr. and Mrs. Florentino Catalan voluntarily signed a deed of donation for the bario site and school site of at lest 4 hectares and this was divided into two sites namely; 2.5 hectares for the barrio site, 1.5 hectares for the school site.
