Pangilinan, Boys Scout of the Philippines - Secretary General and Mrs. Gloria Labor, Government School Teacher, City of Tagum take a Stopover in Dubai for (2) two days and (2) two nights before heading to the Philippines. Hon. Atty. Allan Zulueta and company have been in their 15 days tour in London for the 21st Boys Scout World Jamboree Conference and Centenary of Scouting at Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom with 156 Scouts and Leaders from Philippines and out of that a total of 32 delegates from Island Mindanao. Al Mamzar Park, Dubai, United Arab Emirates A relatively large park, Al Mamzar Park covers an area of 106 hectares of pure beauty. It offers a mix of barbecue sites and private chalets for rent, a swimming pool and snack bars. A shuttle train is also part of the attraction along with a sheltered beach area and safe lagoon with many different children play areas. Being one of the beach parks, it distinguishes itself with its vast space and unique location on the golden sand beach, as well as the recreational areas existing in this exquisite park. The Mamzar Park was inaugurated in a joyful atmosphere during the celebrations of the Arab Cities Organization conference in 1994. It is 99 hectares large and costed 100 million Dirham. Piped oriental music is played all day giving a nice finicky atmosphere which can be enjoyed on the green patchy picnic areas. Al Mamzar Park is located around 5 km after the turn off point to the Hamriya Port, Dubai. Barbecue Areas The picnic regions are also numerous and distributed in different parts of the park.
