JACQUELINE GRACE "MIKEE" EDULLANTES
SKCF PRESIDENT/CITY COUNCILOR

Innocent, honest and smart… these three words fairly describe this 16 yrs. old legislator. A true representative of the youth, JACQUELINE GRACE EDULLANTES Y QUIRANTE is a 4th year high school student of Tagum City National High School. "Mikee", as she is fondly called by her peers was born on May 30, 1994 to Dr. Jesus G. Edullantes, a Veterinarian and Nenelyn Grace Caral Quirante of Tagum City. Young and vibrant, "Mikee" started early in community service being actively involved in various activities of The Girl Scouts of the Philippines movement under the watch and guidance of her grandmother, Mrs. Carolina Caral Quirante. Her charismatic and good leadership traits were noted early when she was elected President of the Pupil Government of her Alma Mater, Magugpo Pilot Imelda Elementary School in her elementary days.

At a very tender age, she is already a recipient of various awards and citations. An international Award- Awarded 1st Runner Up – "Be Prepared Quest 2010" (Bishan, Singapore); Violet Richardson Awardee 2011 Soroptimist International (Davao del Norte); Violet Richardson Awardee 2011 – Mindanao District Soroptimist International (Cagayan de Oro City); National Awardee – The Chief Girl Scout Medal Award 2011 (Pasay City). She was also a recipient of the Provincial Governor's Leadership Excellence Award, The Rotary Golden L.A.C.E.S. Leadership Distinction Award, Young Leadership Excellence Awards in 2007. She is also a Peer Educator of Adolescent Female Health (AFeH) OF Eastern Mindanao, Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

PLATFORM OF GOVERNMENT

Full of determination and enthusiasm to be actively involved in various programs and projects of the city government, Mikee has envisioned a holistic approach in serving the youth. In her first 100 days as a member of the 5th City Council, she was able to pass an ordinance institutionalizing the celebration of "Linggo ng Kabataan" in the City of Tagum. She is also keen at involving the youth in Health and Nutrition Programs, Environmental Concerns, Education, and Sports Development. Barangay Magugpo South will become the center in the implementation of these programs having been elected as Barangay SK Chairman.
